Prior to starting her own law practice in 2009, she worked for 2 prestigious Miami based law firms focusing her practice on banking, corporate, real estate, loss mitigation and telecommunications law.

Banking and Loss Mitigation Experience

Lender & Servicer Representation: The Firm is proficient negotiating and drafting agreements to secure assets and collateral on behalf of Lenders. We represent Lenders in non-residential and commercial litigation, including assistance with Loss Mitigation Services, such as deeds in lieu of foreclosure, short sales and modification agreements on behalf of the Lender. The Firm is committed to providing legal representation that can efficiently handle a wide range of issues that arise in default servicing.

Real Estate & REO Services

The Firm can represent you from acquisition to closing. We represent lenders, servicers, purchasers, sellers, landlords and tenants. The Firm represents individuals and companies interested in buying or selling commercial or residential real estate. Our firm is qualified to navigate through a broad range of legal issues which may arise with the ownership or management of real estate. We can guide you through the process of acquiring or selling real estate, by reviewing, drafting, negotiating and finalizing your residential or commercial real estate contract. We are also available to attend closings and act as your closing agent.

In addition to being an experienced real estate lawyer, Eleni is also a licensed real estate agent and understands all aspects of real estate transactions and appreciates the complexity of the laws and regulations associated with real estate transactions.

Corporate

The Firm is experienced in general corporate formation and dissolution. We structure agreements related to business expansions, mergers, acquisitions, debt or equity offerings, venture capital, joint ventures and strategic alliances, licensing, distribution and general contract matters.

Telecommunications

Eleni has represented over 30 local municipalities in drafting their telecommunications and right of way ordinances, while ensuring federal regulatory compliance. She’s proficient in licensing, franchises, transfers, renewals, wireless carrier agreements, including distributed antenna systems (“DAS”), leases and pole attachment agreements. She wrote the Telecommunications Ordinances for: Aventura, Miami Beach, North Miami, Surfside, Lake Worth, Jupiter, Ocean Ridge, Bonita Springs, North Bay Village and West Palm Beach. She was also critical in negotiating and finalizing the DAS agreement for the City of Miami Beach and the City of West Palm Beach. As a litigator, Eleni was litigation defense counsel on behalf of local governments for wireless facilities and special counsel on behalf of condominium associations in home run wiring litigation.

Charter School Representation

Eleni is General Counsel for Doral Academy and Somerset Academy in Florida. Her passion for promoting growth of quality education and choice for children started in 2010 when she fought for three years to bring a neighborhood charter school to West Boynton Beach. During her presentations to the School Board and Palm Beach County Commission, Eleni and several other founding parents, rallied hundreds of parents to show their support. Eleni refers to the experience as her pro bono labor of love, fighting for children who had no one to fight for their choice of quality education. Ultimately, Somerset Canyons Charter School in Boynton Beach, Florida opened in the fall of 2013 and plans to have 2,100 children enrolled by 2016.

Education & Affiliations

Eleni graduated with her JD from Barry University School of Law, cum laude in 2002. She was a Moot Court Semi-finalist in the National Sojourner Truth Moot Court Competition; Finalist in Oral Appellate Advocacy; President and Treasurer of the Women Lawyer’s Association; Supreme Court Justice and Honor Code Committee for Barry University School of Law. She received her BA with honors in 1997 from the University of Central Florida.

Eleni was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 2003 and the Federal Communications Bar Association. She is a member of National Association of Telecommunications and Advisors (NATOA), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and a former Chapter Representative for the South Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (SPBC FAWL). Eleni also holds a Florida Real Estate License.
